Pequea Clean Air Nut Harvester

The CA5 harvester features a patented drum that greatly reduces the airborne dust that is seen in traditional and “low dust” harvesters. After the almonds are picked up, the twin rod chain drops the material into the patented drum. This drum is similar to a trommel screen in that it separates the dust and trash from the almonds as the auger flighting conveys the almonds to the twin rod elevator chain. The patented drum will remove the majority of the contaminates so effectively that the harvester may be run without the blower. In extremely dusty conditions the hydraulic blower can be used to assist cleaning the almonds without sacrificing ground speed.
